The weather was "warm and seductive" (SR) for this fund raiser for the Whiteinch Orphanage. There were goals galore and Willie Paul helped himself to 3 before the Select scored twice before half-time. He did the business again but from then on Thistle were on the back foot and the Select team ran out comfortable winners.
