At Barrowfield. The Clyde lost the toss and kicked off in the face of the wind, and were at once down on the Thistle goal, but Robertson conceded a corner, which was easily got quit of. The visitors wakened up a bit, and did some smart close passing work, but they could not beat McCorkindale, who was saving well. A couple of corners were well placed, but the backs cleared, and Hurry and McKenzie came away with a run, but were blocked by Bruce and Robertson. Thistle’s forwards stuck well together, and after some determined play Angus sent in a swift shot from the wing, which beat McCorkindale. This reverse had the effect of rousing the Clyde, who were not long in equalising. Harvey, from a well-placed corner, put on a second point for his team. Half-time result:- Partick Thistle, 2 goals; Clyde, 1. With one goal up the Thistle men set to work with a will, and McCorkindale was early called on to save. A timely corner fell to the Clyde, and Hurry equalised 15 minutes from the re-start. With the wind in their favour the ground team had little difficulty in keeping their opponent in check, and after pressing hard for some time Turner put on another point. Result:- Clyde, 3 goals; Partick Thistle, 2 goals.
