Freebairn scored 3 before half-time but it wasn't enough for a win. It was 3-1 at half-time and in the second half Airdrie had the better of things and scored twice. Thistle tried hard for a winner but to no avail. Murray was lost to injury for most of the second half and Robertson miskicked with the goal at his mercy late on.

At Inchview Park, Whiteinch. The Airdrieonians kicked off. Five minutes later the Thistle scored the first goal from a corner. Keeping up the pressure, W. Freebairn put on a second goal for the Thistle. The Airdrieonians then took up the running, and McNamee scored their first goal. Before the whistle sounded, the Thistle added a third goal from a corner. Half-time result:- Partick Thistle, 3 goals, Airdrieonians, 1 goal. The second half was only a few minutes old when Slavin put on a second goal for the Airdrieonians and before the close the same player notched the equaliser. The Thistle strove hard to gain the winning point, but no further scoring took place. Final result - a draw, 3 goals each.
