The home team scored twice in quick time then again from a corner just before the break. With the wind at their backs Thistle put on a better showing and goals from Gilchrist and Currie reduced the deficit but that was the end of the scoring.

Played at Langlands Park, Govan. The Partick Thistle kicked off against a strong breeze. The Linthouse soon took up the running, but twenty minutes had gone ere Hurry scored their first goal. Shortly after, the same player got a second point. Even play followed for some time, but the Linthouse held the upper hand and J. Steel scored their third goal from a corner. Half-time result:- Linthouse, 3 goals; Partick Thistle, 0. The second half was resumed with vigour. Aided by the wind the Thistle soon made their presence felt, but some time elapsed ere Currie put on their first goal. Within five minutes, Gilchrist smartly added a secong goal for the Thistle. No further scoring took place. Result:- Linthouse, 3 goals; Partick Thistle, 2 goals.
