Many of the OH players appear in the report that we've read in the GEP. However, that paper (and the SR repeats) says “Edgar, Currie and Mulvey of the 2nd XI were included in the Thistle's team”. We rather suspect that James Mulvey might have played, and not Robert Murray as per OH, and we speculate an “aural error” could be at play given the similar surnames. We stick with Murray as per the OH in the meantime, but will keep an eye out for another report. Linthouse players per SR report. Originally scheduled as a League game but demoted to friendly status due to the frost.

“…the ground…being frozen, a friendly only was played” (GH). Both keepers were busy from the start then Bruce went off injured. Linthouse led 1-0 at half-time and had the second half pretty much all their own way. Linthouse had a couple of guests from Clyde playing. Thistle had several reserves out.
