The “return friendly” was just as close. Thistle were on the front foot from the start but couldn't break down the Battlefield defence. Eventually “Paul, showing his old dash” scored with “a lightning shot” (SR). The second half was increasingly towsy with the teams indulging in “shady tactics”. Paul went off injured as a result.
