We add Joe Leiper on account of a report in the SR (16/05/92) which states: “West Benhar Violet protest the result of the Junior Cup final against Minerva on the grounds that Leiper had played for PT in the Greenock Charity ties (note plural- we have only one game this season and no line-up) under an assumed name.” Leiper did play a league game in this season but that game didn't appear to be in dispute. James Blair is credited with Morton's goal at the GT, but we've gone with Oswald on account of the fact that he's credited in both the GEP and the SR.

It was lively from the start but Morton had the best of things and most of the chances. They took the lead (35). Thistle had a good deal of pressure after half-time and Paul was prominent but Morton's defence was too good to allow an equaliser. Morton had 2 guests from Third Lanark and Clyde.

GREENOCK CHARITY CUP. Yesterday evening the Partick Thistle and the Morton played in the first round for the cup, the result being a win for the Morton by one goal to none. There was a large attendance of spectators.
