Kilmarnock were 2-up at half-time even although they were playing into a bright sun and strong wind. The task for Thistle in the second half was beyond them. “A pleasant game” (GH) saw them run out easy winners, although one of their goals was clearly off-side. Proudfoot shone for Thistle.

In Alliance fixture at Kilmarnock. Neither team was at full strength. In the first half the Killie faced sun and wind and play was even, although Killie had the best of the scoring, crossing over with a lead of 2 goals. In the latter half Killie had the game well in hand, and scored 3 more goals, one of which, however, was palpably offside, although allowed by the referee. Orr and Johnstone played best for Killie, while Proudfoot shone for the Thistle. The final result of a pleasant game was - Killie, 5; Thistle, nil.
