The Sunderland Albion, on their own ground at Sunderland, obtained a decisive victory over Partick Thistle, whom they beat by 3 goals to 0. During the first half the play was fast and fairly even, the Albion putting on the only goal twenty minutes before the interval. Six minutes after crossing over the Albion team put on a second goal, and subsequently they obtained a third. The Albion had three goals disallowed for off-side and the visitors one.
