At Whiteinch. After twelve minutes play, the Celtic scored through McMahon. Towards half-time the Thistle showed much better play, but failed to score. On resuming, the Celtic pressed, but McCorkinale saved. The Thistle then scored but the point was disallowed. Immediately after, Campbell, accepting a drive-on by Madden, put the ball through. Off-side was claimed, but rejected. The Celtic latterly scored again through Brady. Result:- Celtic, 3 goals; Partick Thistle, nil.
