Thistle booked the strong wind and soon had Linfield pinned back. A goal by Clark put them ahead. Linfield missed a few chances before Gilchrist had a goal chalked off for off-side. The second half was almost a reverse. Marshall was too slow to react and it was 1-1 then a header proved to be the winner.
