One of the biggest crowds ever seen at Old Public Park saw Wishaw 1-up at half-time. McLeod equalised just after half-time then Clark put under strength Thistle ahead. Wishaw equalised almost immediately and a draw looked likely until “Wishaw scored just before the end amid great excitement” (GH).
