SC say the 4th goal was scored by Roddy McLeod, the GH say it was Lawrence Proudfoot. The OH completely throw a spanner in the works by going against SC/GH's brace for John Drummond, saying he only got one, and including both Roddy McLeod and Lawrence Proudfoot. Ultimately, we've sided with the GH account for both Thistle and St Bernards scorers, but this could change with further reports.

With Paul playing in the final international trial, a header by Hislop gave Thistle the lead then Johnston scored while the keeper was “blocked”. McCorkindale hit a clearance off a forward for 2-1. Snow showers relented after half-time and Drummond (2) and Proudfoot made it 5 before a spirited finish and 2 late goals.
