Both CE & LUWE list only 10 players for Royal Albert. Incidentally, we suspect a bit of Victorian copy and paste error may be at play in the EC, with Clark (10) and Hislop (11) being listed for Royal Albert, suspiciously replicating the names and positions of our men in that same paper.

Play was largely confined to “the Royalists'“half early on but Thistle's forwards were erratic. Hislop opened the scoring with a “splendid goal“ (GH) but it was a different story after the break when the visitors improved and scored 3 without reply despite Thistle's efforts to get back into the game.
