Thistle hit the bar after a few minutes but when Freebairn scored the 1st goal the scene was set for a comfortable win. Goals by Drummond, Clark (on his debut) from a goalmouth scramble and Proudfoot from a free-kick made it 4-0 at half-time. The visitors pressed to no avail against a solid defence.
