Because both clubs were “overthrown” in the Scottish Cup, a friendly was arranged. Thistle found themselves 2-down in quick time but Hislop levelled the scores, both from close in. Rovers took the lead before half-time and with the wind Rovers took command, scored 3 and hit the bar. A well deserved win.
