notes
  • CFF lists “Bishop” (11) for Thistle, but we rather think this is a mis-heard or mis-typed “Hislop”. Two accounts support this; LAG's report has Hislop, and the OH has Hislop (10). We further note that the OH lists Andrew Mackay (11) at the expense of J. Kelly, but the fact that the latter is a named scorer in two press accounts casts doubt over the OH line-up.
  • The OH credits Andrew Johnston with Thistle's goal, but CFF/PH/STS both say it was J. Kelly and we go with them. SI credits Ross with Preston's opener, but CFF/LAG/STS all say it was Goodall and we go with the majority.
