Thistle were 3-up in 10 minutes (Ferguson (2) and McKay) then Hislop scored (30) before McCorkindale dropped the ball making it 4-1 at half-time. A fine effort made it 4-2 then Paul, Marshall and Gault seemed to have put the result beyond doubt - until Robertson went off injured and Rovers scored 4 (the 6th on 90).
