Thistle kicked off with 10 men and went 1-down before Johnston took the field. He did however get the equaliser before half-time. Battlefield scored twice after half-time (48 and 49) and “after this the game fell off“ (GH). Battlefield played very well whereas Thistle were poor in front of goal. “Battlefield gave a lesson to the Thistle“ (SR).
