“The first half-hour…was splendidly contested“ (GH). Things took a turn for the worse however and much weakened Thistle were soon 4-0 down. 2 quick goals (the first from Hislop) gave the score a bit more respectability but Abercorn (who had ex-JAG Duff in goal) scored again soon after.
