Maybole took an early lead (10) as Thistle struggled. Campbell went off but came back on limping. Marshall finished off a scramble to level by half-time. McFarlane scored from a parried save then Suter got the 3rd soon after. Maybole reduced the lead but McFarlane scored as Thistle dominated the last 10 minutes. (G Ev Post)

Partick Thistle v Maybole. Played at Inchview Whiteinch before a small attendance. Partick kicked off and Scott scored for Maybole in ten minutes. Marshall equalised for the home eleven. Ends were then changed. On resuming Partick scored twice. Gallacher then kicked a second point for Maybole. Ten minutes from time Partick scored again. Final result: Partick 4 Maybole 2.
