The “return“ match was “pleasant and friendly throughout“ (GP). Thistle booked the wind in the first half but for all their pressing they were only 1-up at half-time. The second half was much the same. The defence was sorely tested at times but restricted the visitors to only one goal.

The Mid-Annandale F.C. visited Inchview on Friday evening, 4th inst., to try conclusions with the Partick Thistle. There was a fair turnout of spectators. The home team winning the toss elected to play with the wind in their favour, and pressed the visitors hard during the first half but only succeeded in putting the ball between the posts once. On change of ends the Mids immediately assumed the aggressive and taxed the powers of the Thistle back division pretty severely; but although they exerted themselves to the utmost to repeat their achievement of the previous Saturday, time was almost called when they managed to score the equalizing goal. The game, which was pleasant and friendly throughout, thus ended in a draw of 1 goal each
