Thistle never managed to subdue the local team in this end-to-end competitive friendly. Ferguson equalised an early opener but Thistle found themselves trailing 4-1 at half-time. An OG in the second half reduced the lead then Suter scored but so did Mid-Annandale. Ferguson scored his second but late pressure failed to secure a fifth goal.
