The NBDM say it was 7-2. No report is particularly deep or persuasive. A clue as to the confusion comes in the NBDM also states that Paul scored an offside goal, but also states the score was 7-2. Further, there is a dispute as to the identity of the scorer of Thistle's third goal. The NBDM all say it was from a scrimmage. The NBDM. However, the aforementioned NBDM/OH. Paul scored 4 as if to celebrate his first international call-up. Morton took the lead (15) and it was a hard struggle but Paul equalised then put Thistle 3-1 up by half-time. Miller got the 4th just after the break then Morton pulled one back but Paul scored again to finish off a fine performance. (One Thistle scorer unidentified).
