Play was even before Airdrie took the lead. It was an open game and Buchanan levelled then “a capital low shot” (LUWE) by Paul put Thistle ahead by half-time. Robertson made it 3-1 then Airdrie reduced the lead on the break making it 3-2 but a 4th goal put it beyond reach. (Airdrie's 4th goal untimed.)
