Thistle won the toss and booked the wind. They soon had the home keeper under pressure yet it was Morton who took the lead. Thistle scored twice but by half-time it was 2-2, full-back Caldwell blinded by the sun in the move. Morton dominated the second half and ran out worthy winners.
