The first of the annual games in aid of the Whiteinch Orphanage. Unfortunately, the match date was not actually specified in the Govan Press edition w/e 26th June 1886 (see 'Scrapbook' tab), so we've had to make an educated guess. Our nominal date of Monday 21st June is based on the fact that i) it was an evening game, that ii) the Govan Press week ending editions did not extend to games beyond the Monday of that week and that iii) at least 3 of the other Whiteinch Orphanage games were played on a Monday evening. We've scoured every column inch of the 19th June 1886 edition of the paper, but there's zero information to be had.

The first of the annual games in aid of the local orphanage. One year on from their demise, the Partick FC was resurrected for one night only. The two old foes met again for auld lang syne and for the aforementioned good cause, raising over £11. A succesful evening all round.
