Thistle had the best of the early play but St Mirren went ahead on the counter. A fine run set up Miller to level but St Mirren took a 2-goal lead just on half-time. Fine play by both teams after half-time made for an exciting match but a 4th goal just on full-time from Duff's parried save gave the Saints a comfortable win.
