Thistle shocked the Scottish Cup holders after going behind from a scrimmage following a corner but a fine sweeping move saw Paterson level before half-time. Several Thistle players charged the keeper and ball over the line for 2-1 (most probably crediting Robertson). “The heroics of Duff in goal prevented an equaliser” (NBDM).
