A big crowd saw a fast entertaining game. Morton scored (1) but it was 1-1 after only 2 minutes (Ewing). Next, Morton had a goal disallowed on appeal for off-side. “A beautiful screw-kick” (GT) made it 2-1.They were the better team and led 4-1 at half-time. Thistle pressed and Young got one back but Morton got a 5th.
