The Partick Thistle had a very enjoyable game with the Whitefield, which is a most gentlemanly club, being composed of young fellows who occupy a good social standing. They play a very neat game and, although easily beaten by five goals to none, the game was not so one-sided as the score would make one believe. This year the Thistle players are very enthusiastic, and they hope to mount up the ladder of fame, as I hope they will, for such players deserve to get on, being, as they are, full of enthusiasm for the game.
