Play was even until Paterson scored (15). In the second half 2 quick goals put the tie beyond doubt. Yoker pressed but Duff and Beattie in defence kept them out. A fine run down the right resulted in a 4th goal. Again, Yoker attacked but Thistle scored a 5th. “Hendy, Beattie and Duff were in grand form” (AN).

YOKER CHALLENGE CUP. The final tie for the above was played at Holm Park, near Glasgow, on Saturday. Although Yoker had the assistance of the wind in the first half, the Thistle scored once, and the Partick club in the latter portion had matters nearly all their own way, the Thistle eventually winning by five goals to love. The Partick Thistle have now won the cup for the second year in succession. For the losers Hunter, Bain and Smith played best, while Hendry, Beattie and Duff were in grand form for the winners.
