The Glasgow Thistle and Partick Thistle had a friendly encounter with each other at Whiteinch, and after some hard and exciting play on the part of both clubs, the latter gained the day by two goals to one. These clubs, it will be remembered, met each other in the fourth round of the cup competition and then, as on the present occasion, the Partick players proved themselves the smarter of the two.
