First ever match in England. Thistle won the toss, played into a boisterous wind and were down 4-0 at half-time. In the second half Young, Ramsay and Beattie scored then Blackburn came back strongly. Thistle held on and equalised just on full time after a goalmouth scramble (“a bully”, SL) following a throw-in.
