Mark Nicoll McWalter was born on Thursday, 20th June, 1968, in Arbroath, Angus.

The 5' 11 (13st 2lbs) forward signed for John Lambie's Thistle on Tuesday, 11th June, 1991, having most recently been with St Mirren.

Aged 23, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 27th July, 1991, in a 4-0 friendly win away to Inverness Select.

That day, Mark became a member of our scoring debutant's club, and even added a second for good measure.

He scored the last of his 3 goals on Tuesday, 30th July, 1991, in a 3-0 friendly win away to Lossiemouth.

He played his last game for the club on Tuesday, 16th February, 1993, in a 3-0 defeat at home to Hibernian in the SFL Premier Division, having appeared as a Jag on 26 occasions.

Mark's club-list included Arbroath, St Mirren, Partick Thistle, Coleraine, Ballymena United and Arbroath Victoria.

Bio Extra

A serious injury very early in his Thistle career in a game at Ayr United seriously limited his opportunity to shine at Firhill. Arrived at the club with George Shaw as part of the deal that took Davie Elliot and Chic Chamley to St Mirren. Spent a couple of seasons in the Premier League on the fringes of the Thistle first team.
