![]() Lawrence Proudfoot was born on Saturday, 9th April, 1870, in Dunfermline, Fife. The forward probably joined Thistle in 1889, having most recently been with Rangers. Aged 19, he made his first known appearance on Wednesday, 1st January, 1890, in an 11-0 friendly win away to Dundee Harp. Lawrence scored his first known goal for Thistle on Saturday, 21st February, 1891, in a 3-2 friendly defeat at home to Morton. He scored the last of his 5 known goals on Saturday, 19th March, 1892, in a 3-1 defeat away to St Bernard's in the Scottish Alliance League. He played his last known game for the club on Saturday, 11th March, 1893, in a 2-2 draw away to Airdrieonians in the Scottish Alliance League, having appeared for the Thistle on at least 16 occasions. His club-list included Northern, Rangers, Partick Thistle, Dundee Wanderers and Alva. Lawrence died on Sunday, 6th October, 1929, in Glasgow, aged 59.
