Lachlan MacMillan was born in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, although his date of birth remains unknown to us. *

The 5' 7½ (10st 7lbs) forward signed for Donald Turner's Thistle on Thursday, 29th September, 1932, having most recently been with Heart of Midlothian.

He made his debut appearance on Saturday, 1st October, 1932, in a 2-1 win away to Falkirk in the SFL First Division.

Lachlan scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 22nd October, 1932, in a 7-0 win at home to Ayr United in the SFL First Division.

He scored the last of his 8 goals on Wednesday, 19th April, 1933, in a 3-2 friendly win away to Plymouth Argyle.

He played his last game for the club on Thursday, 20th April, 1933, in a 2-1 friendly win away to Cornwall County, having appeared as a Jag on 30 occasions.

His club-list included Larkhall Thistle, Petershill, Rutherglen Glencairn, Hamilton Academical, Royal Albert, Heart of Midlothian, Aberdeen, Partick Thistle, Third Lanark and Elgin City.
