Kevin Magee |
Kevin Magee was born on Saturday, 10th April, 1971, in Bangour, West Lothian. The 5' 10 (11st 1lbs) forward signed for John Lambie's Thistle on Monday, 12th August, 1991, having most recently been with Armadale Thistle. Aged 20, he made his debut appearance on Monday, 12th August, 1991, in a 1-0 win away to Meadowbank Thistle in the SFL First Division. There were no goals for Kevin during his time with Thistle. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 17th April, 1993, in a 3-1 defeat away to Rangers in the SFL Premier Division, having appeared as a Jag on 12 occasions. Kevin's club-list included Dundee United, Armadale Thistle, Partick Thistle, Preston North End, Plymouth Argyle, Scarborough, Dundee, Livingston, Montrose, Berwick Rangers, East Fife and Bathgate Thistle. |
Very popular player with the Thistle fans despite only starting one game, the ill-fated Scottish Cup tie with Cowdenbeath, in close on two seasons at Firhill. He made his debut against Meadowbank Thistle when he replaced the injured Declan Roche early in the match and left the field to a standing ovation when he himself was replaced shortly before the end. He featured sporadically the following season in the Premier League before leaving to join Preston North End. A succession of injuries hampered his progress at Deepdale and subsequently he had spells at, among others, Dundee and Livingston. |
