 Josh Ian Douglas Miller was born on Thursday, 23rd April, 2009, in Paisley, Renfrewshire. The 6' 1½ (10st 12lbs) forward signed for Mark Wilson's Thistle on Friday, 12th June, 2026, having most recently been with Partick Thistle U-17. Aged 17, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 27th June, 2026, in a 0-0 friendly draw away to Pollok. We look forward to seeing him score his first goal for Thistle. His club-list includes only Partick Thistle - good man! Josh is contracted at Firhill until May, 2028. |
 Along with his Thistle Academy mates Steven Docherty and Daniel Gray, Josh Miller signed a two year modern apprenticeship deal with Partick Thistle in the summer of 2026. Josh was the youngest of the three prospects at 17 years old but, like Steven Docherty, he had progressed all the way through the Academy since joining way back in 2016. He was scouted at Thistle summer camp at Allan Glens in Bishopbriggs. A lifelong Jags fan, Josh has rejected interest from Rangers, Celtic, Motherwell and Hamilton youth set ups to sign and play with Thistle. One of our own! A standout at Under 17s level, the winger got a handful of chances to play with the high-performing 19s in 2025-26 and got his first goal for Gary Irvine’s side in a 6-3 win over Livingston in January 2026. In late June 2026, the youngster made his first team debut in front of a near 2,000 crowd at Newlandsfield Park, coming on wide on the right for the last half hour of the 0-0 pre-season friendly draw at Pollok; played positively and looked good.
