John Wyllie was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. *

The forward signed for Donald Turner's Thistle on Saturday, 21st October, 1933, having most recently been with Glenafton Athletic.

He made his debut appearance on Saturday, 23rd December, 1933, in a 2-1 defeat at home to Hamilton Academical in the SFL First Division.

John scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 11th May, 1935, in a 2-1 win away to Queen's Park in the Glasgow Charity Cup.

He scored his second and final goal for the club on Saturday, 16th November, 1935, in a 3-3 draw away to Dundee in the SFL First Division.

He played his last game for Thistle on Saturday, 8th February, 1936, in a 1-0 win at home to Heart of Midlothian in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 24 occasions.

His club-list included Glenafton Athletic, Partick Thistle and Ayr United.
