John Munro was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. *

The defender joined Thistle in 1887, having most recently been with Westburn.

He made his first known appearance on Saturday, 13th August, 1887, in a 3-2 friendly win at home to Northern.

There were no known goals for John during his time with Thistle.

He played his last known game for the club on Saturday, 10th March, 1888, in a 1-1 friendly draw at home to Airdrieonians, having appeared for the Thistle on at least 24 occasions.

His club-list included Westburn, Partick Thistle and Sunderland.
