 John M. Meldrum was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The defender signed for George Easton's Thistle on Saturday, 17th December, 1921. He made his only appearance on Wednesday, 22nd February, 1922, in a 4-0 defeat away to Morton in the SFL First Division. There were no goals for John in his one-off appearance for Thistle. His club-list included Partick Thistle and Arthurlie. We don't know where or when John died. *
