![]() John McEwan was born in Scotland, although we've been unable to establish a place or date of birth as of yet. The forward signed for George Easton's Thistle on Thursday, 9th August, 1917, having most recently been with Heart of Midlothian. He made his debut appearance on Saturday, 18th August, 1917, in a 3-3 draw at home to Morton in the Scottish Football League. That day, John became a member of our scoring debutant's club. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 26th January, 1918, in a 3-0 defeat at home to Kilmarnock in the Scottish Football League, having appeared as a Jag on 14 occasions. His club-list included Neilston Victoria, Heart of Midlothian, Partick Thistle and Dumbarton. We don't know where or when John died. *
