![]() John Theodore Logan was born in 1871, in Edinburgh. * The forward signed for Thistle on Friday, 5th June, 1896, having most recently been with Parkhead. Aged 24 or 25, he made his first known appearance on Saturday, 22nd August, 1896, in a 2-2 draw at home to Morton in the SFL Second Division. Amazingly, John scored his first 3 goals for Thistle in the same match! His account-opening hat-trick was registered on Saturday, 19th September, 1896, in a 5-3 win away to Linthouse in the Scottish Qualifying Cup. He scored the last of his 6 known goals on Saturday, 10th October, 1896, in a 4-3 win at home to Airdrieonians in the SFL Second Division, netting a brace on the day. He played his last known game for the club on Saturday, 17th October, 1896, in a 3-1 defeat away to Linthouse in the Glasgow Cup, having appeared for the Thistle on at least 6 occasions. His club-list included Linthouse, Parkhead, Partick Thistle, Musselburgh Fern and Small Heath. We don't know where or when John died. *
