John Henderson was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The forward signed for George Easton's Thistle on Monday, 14th October, 1918, having most recently been with St Anthony's. He made his debut appearance on Saturday, 19th October, 1918, in a 6-3 win at home to Hamilton Academical in the Scottish Football League. John scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 2nd November, 1918, in a 2-1 win at home to Queen's Park in the Scottish Football League. He scored the last of his 5 goals on Saturday, 11th January, 1919, in a 3-1 defeat at home to Ayr United in the Scottish Football League. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 26th April, 1919, in a 3-0 friendly defeat away to Aberdeen, having appeared as a Jag on 17 occasions. His club-list included St Anthony's and Partick Thistle. We don't know where or when John died. *
