 John Gourlay was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The forward appeared for Thistle in December, 1897. He made his only known appearance on Saturday, 18th December, 1897, in a 1-0 friendly win at home to Linthouse. There were no goals for John in his only known appearance for Thistle. His known club-list included only Partick Thistle. We don't know where or when John died. *
