 John Bain was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. * The 5' 6 (10st 6lbs) forward signed for Thistle on Monday, 24th August, 1959. He made his only appearance on Wednesday, 21st October, 1959, in a 5-3 friendly defeat away to Dumbarton. There were no goals for John in his one-off appearance for Thistle. John's club-list included Partick Thistle and Dumbarton.
