 John Alexander Robertson was born on Sunday, 28th March, 1976, in Irvine, North Ayrshire. The 6' 2 (11st 0lbs) defender signed for Ian McCall's Thistle in July, 2006, having most recently been with Hamilton Academical. Aged 30, he made his debut appearance on Thursday, 20th July, 2006, in a 3-1 friendly win away to Montrose. John scored his first goal for Thistle on Saturday, 6th January, 2007, in a 1-0 win away to Ross County in the Scottish Cup. He scored the last of his 3 goals on Tuesday, 14th July, 2009, in a 2-0 friendly win away to Dumbarton. He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 2nd April, 2011, in a 0-0 draw at home to Queen of the South in the SFL First Division, having clocked up 187 appearances as a Jag. John's club-list included Stranraer, Ayr United, Oxford United, St Johnstone, Ross County, Hamilton Academical and Partick Thistle. |
