James Jefferies Henderson was born on Wednesday, 8th May, 1935, in Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire.

The 5' 6 (10st 6lbs) forward signed for David Meiklejohn's Thistle on Thursday, 18th October, 1951, having most recently been with L. Pieters Boys Club.

Aged 17, he made his debut appearance on Saturday, 4th April, 1953, in a 1-1 draw away to Hibernian in the SFL First Division.

Jimmy scored his only goal for Thistle on Wednesday, 28th August, 1957, in a 3-0 win away to Rangers in the League Cup.

He played his last game for the club on Saturday, 27th September, 1958, in a 1-0 defeat away to Queen of the South in the SFL First Division, having appeared as a Jag on 21 occasions.

His club-list included Partick Thistle, Queen of the South, Worcester City, Kidderminster Harriers and Stourbridge.

Jimmy died on Wednesday, 2nd September, 2015, in Worcester, Worcestershire, aged 80.
