Jim Stirling

James Stirling was probably born in Scotland, although his place and date of birth remain unknown to us. *

The forward signed for Thistle on Thursday, 8th August, 1895, having most recently been with Leicester Fosse.

He made his first known appearance on Saturday, 10th August, 1895, in a 5-3 friendly defeat at home to Heart of Midlothian.

There were no known goals for Jim during his spell with Thistle.

He played his last known game for the club on Saturday, 31st August, 1895, in a 6-2 win away to Burnbank Swifts in the Scottish Qualifying Cup, having appeared for the Thistle on at least 5 occasions.

His club-list included Leicester Fosse, Partick Thistle and Polton Vale.
